Primary Health Care & Hygiene

Securing nutritional support and awareness of the same emerges as an immediate need for the inhabitants residing in these natural-disaster prone area of islands and estuaries.

Ankur (Tutorial home for first-generation learners)

Primary education plays a vital role in every child’s life as it helps in shaping and developing their personality. Through Ankur, we not only make education accessible to first generation learners but also help them understand a subject to develop understanding and analytical thinking.

Women’s Empowerment

Education helps women negotiate existing power structures, build collectives and change perceptions, ultimately leading to women’s empowerment.

Water & Sanitation

Improving the quality of life by developing locally sustainable clean drinking water resources, sanitation facilities, and hygiene education programmes.

Environment and Renewable Energy 

The purpose is to impart knowledge about the same and creating devices to enhance the quality of life.

Activity Centre

Holding events to encourage the spirit of the underprivileged to help them stay positive and hope for a better future.

Medical Camp I

First medical camp held at Kumir Mari.

Joy of Giving Week

October 2021

Collaboration with Sangbedhan for a week-long dance and drama workshop for special children, promoting inclusion and equal opportunities.

Medical Camp II

November 2021

Second medical camp at Kumir Mari for women and children.

Launch of Project Re-Turn

March 2022

Focused on skill development in stitching and upcycling cloth into useful products by young adults.

Eye Camp I

May 2022

Held at Kumir Mari, followed by cataract surgeries for those in need.

Launch of Project Ankur

16 June 2022

Early learning and creative development for underprivileged children.

First Re-Turn Exhibition

August 2022

Children earned a share from sales of products they made. 8 children enrolled under Ankur.

Durga Puja Milestone

October 2022

Ankur children performed publicly for the first time in a cultural program.
